Alright Folks. So SCCA racing can be expensive at times, the tires, modificaitons on cars, even fuel alone. So here is a little something I came up with to save about $200. It is a Digital Camber Gauge!

Parts Needed can all be found at Farm and Fleet or Home Depot. And the Level you need to go to Sears for. Here is the parts list:

Farm and Fleet / Home Depot:

4- 1.5in long 1/4in 20 Allen Head Bolts
5- 1/4in 20 nuts
8- 1/4in Washers
3- 1in long bushings
1- 3ft long piece of 1/8in thick 1in wide steel
3- Rubber nipples that fit over the allen head bolts
Total around $5-6

Sears:
Craftsman Digital Torpedo Level accurate to .1 $35

Now Cut your 3 FT bar into 2 parts, one piece 24in long the remainder set aside.
Drill a hole about 2in in from one end and measure up from there about 16.5in 17.5in, 18.5in and 19.5 in. Center punch holes in each spot marked and drill slightley oversized 1/4in holes at each mark. This will make your gauge adjustable from 16in wheels up to 19in wheels

Now take the other piece of bar. Mark in 1in on one end, and measure out half your distances. Drill holes like before.

Assemble your ends that will clap around tire like so: Allen Bolt, Sleve, washer, steel rod, washer, nut. Should look like this when done. sort of: [=====|{}|[]

Now Drill a hole in center of other rod so it makes a Y. You will have to mess around with it on a rim to get the exact location set, but it will all you to have 2 upper mounts on the tire an one lower.

Now you should have something that looks like this:

Stick your camber gauge around the rim, attach magnetic mounted Level to the unit, observe the measurement on level, subtract 90 degrees.

IE gauge reads 88 degrees, so subtract 90 and that is -2 degrees camber!

Works just as well as the ones I sell at work for $240, we checked it! And this is Digital!
