
The Great River
Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is one of 110
regions that make up the nation’s largest motorsport
membership organization. Chartered in 1966, Great River
Region has promoted a variety of motorsport activities and
social events.
Members organize, conduct, promote, and participate in a
variety of motorsport activities, including races, solo
events, road rallies, and social functions. Great River
Region activities normally include Solo II autocrosses, as
well as special events including business and social
meetings. Great River Region publishes a monthly newsletter,
“River Ramblings” which keeps members informed of the club
activities. The Great River Region,
Region 99, encompasses 13 counties in Southeastern Iowa and
6 counties in Northwestern Illinois. Major Iowa Cities
included in the region are Bettendorf, Burlington, Clinton,
Davenport, Fairfield, Ft. Madison, Keokuk, Mt. Pleasant,
Muscatine, Ottumwa and Washington. In Illinois, cities
include: Galesburg, Geneseo, Kewanee, Moline, Monmouth and
Rock Island. |
